A Celebration of Scouting Excellence in Copenhagen

We are delighted to invite you to a special event on June 6th as we gather to honor Jørgen Guldborg Rasmussen, the founder of the European Scout Foundation (ESF), and celebrate the profound impact the Foundation has made through scouting projects across Europe over the years.

The Venue: A Modern Home for Scouting

Our celebration will take place in the beautiful and recently transformed surroundings of Korskirken in Herlev. As the home of both the Baptist Church and the Baptist Scouts, this location underwent an extensive renovation to become a bright, modern community hub. We look forward to welcoming you in the church’s cozy café and its vibrant outdoor areas.

Program & Hospitality

In true scout spirit, we offer a relaxed atmosphere where you can reconnect with old friends and meet new ones.

  • Time: 16:00 – 19:00
  • Hospitality: We will serve snacks, wine, beer, and soft drinks.
  • Family Friendly: A special program will be organized for children, so please feel free to bring your whole family!

A Friendly Challenge to our Danish Scouts: For years, Denmark held the title for the highest number of Friends of Scouting in Europe. Recently, that position has been claimed by neighbors in Sweden. We believe it’s time to correct this situation! We hope to see a record number of new Danish FOSE and upgrades at this event.

How to Find Us

Address: Korskirken, Herlev Hovedgade 42, 2730 Herlev

🚗 By Car: Ample parking is available directly at the church, providing safe and easy access to the entrance.

🚆 By Train from Copenhagen: The journey takes approximately 30 minutes from Copenhagen Central Station.

  1. The Train: Take Line C (towards Frederikssund or Ballerup) and get off at Herlev Station (approx. 18-minute ride).
  2. The Walk (approx. 10 min):
    • From the platform, head up to Herlev Ringvej and turn left (north).
    • Follow the road for about 800 meters to the intersection at Herlev Hovedgade.
    • Turn left; number 42 is 100 meters ahead on your left.
