Project Description

The old clubhouse, sadly, had to be torn down, as it could no longer serve its purpose – to hold meetings in.

A new clubhouse will enable us to once again have a base for most of our activities during the year. First and foremost, regular patrol meetings, which are held three times a week, but also weekend events. We hope, that since the capacity will be more than doubled, we will be able to organize events for our whole local scout district, such as races.

The clubhouse is also going to be a viable option for potential local community events, as the old one had been. In a project like this, every penny counts. The new clubhouse is going to be a two-floor log cabin. On the ground floor, there will be a clubroom for activities, a small kitchen and a water closet. Both facilities which we have been missing greatly. On the upper floor, there is going to be another clubroom with a projector and a screen, while also providing a place to sleep in. It is primarily going to serve our more than 30 child members, numbers of which are growing steadily.

The project is divided into three parts:

1. Preparation phase,
2. Phase A – Structural work, and
3. Phase B – finishing phase.

The structural work itself is finished, but there is still a lot of work to be done. We have hired an architect, and an expert hardworking carpenter, who have done tremendous amount of work. The members of our unit should be mentioned as well, because no matter whether young or old, they have all helped greatly and are still helping with the work as of today. During the phase B, we have been working six days a week at the construction site after regular jobs or after school. This is going to be our clubhouse and it is important for us, that we build it with our own hands.

• Transparent account – contributions from natural persons: 8 632 €;
• Reserve fund of regional scout association: 1 231 €;
