Experience Scouting at the Summer Camp

Every year our scout group 3. zbor Aničky a Bořivoja Uhrových Kežmarok has a summer camp on a meadow surrounded by forests and mountains. It´s the most expected event of the year. 50-60 children and volunteers got involved each year. Now we have 90 registered members of all ages and this number is increasing. We would like to allow as many children as possible to experience a scout camp. Living adventure in a pure nature for 2 weeks without civilization with friends, acquiring new skills and be stand-alone is certainly beneficial for them.

Our scout group owns 15 “podsada” (Slovak wood tents for two) and 12 tents for four. Some of them are old and not in good condition. We patched and repaired them but not everything can be fixed. New two “sahara” tents would replace the worst ones and it would allow us to bring more children on the camp. They will lasts years. We would like to obtain them until next summer camp in July 2022.

Expenses: 2 sahara tents – 1 694 €.

Own sources: Our scout group will contribute to the project with 500€. Our sources will be our scout group savings.
