Hangar for Scouting Camps

Our scouting summer camps are a tradition now and they play a key role in strengthening the scouting community in our town. The whole year of any scout in Zvolen is organised around the summer camp – we choose a topic and follow it throughout the year during various indoor and outdoor activities until it reaches its final point in the summer camp. Last year the topic we chose were knights and princesses where we were practising the skills typical for these vocations.

In 2022 we decided to follow a series called “Fast Arrows” where a group of young boys experiences various adventures that lead them to bettering their character, skills, courage and spirit. However, given that currently there is an age gap among our members, where we are missing young people, especially boys, who would have the strength and skills to manually build the kitchen and dining area from wooden sticks and a cover, it would help us greatly if we had a ready-made hangar we would be able to build relatively quickly with significantly less effort needed.

All activities of our scouting group are supported by young people and adults without any financial rewards. We support volunteerism and philanthropy. We would also like to avoid the situation where high monthly fees would disable certain children or whole families from participating in scouting. That’s why we only charge symbolic annual and monthly fees to cover the most urgent expenses – e. g. to rent our clubroom.

We also don’t want high fees to be an obstacle for some children from participating in the summer camps, that’s why the fees collected are just to cover basic food and hygiene needs. At the same time, we are keen on improving the quality of our camps – that’s why we would be very grateful for any extra funds we can receive from other supportive organisations.

Own sources: Unfortunately, we don’t have our own sources for this, as we will invest our money on other things needed for the summer camps – eg a kitchen stove plus any expenses needed to cover all the camps need.
